Check out what we`ve got going on for the month before July flies by ❇️
We`re thrilled to announce that our female siamang, Safiya, gave birth to a female baby on June 11th. This is Safiyah & Noah`s third daughter at Fresno Chaffee Zoo. They are currently still spending some time behind-the-scenes, but the best chance to see them are weekends, Fri-Sun!
Our white rhino Kayla is sporting a new look. You can see her and the rest of our rhino crash every day at the Zoo. 🦏
June is World Oceans Month. At Fresno Chaffee Zoo, everything we do keeps conservation in mind, and that includes the water and marine life around us. Our Animal Nutrition team dives into how we partner with sustainable fishing vendors to feed our animals.

Friendly reminder to stay hydrated during your visit. As the days heat up, its important to make sure to drink water. We have refillable water stations around the Zoo. They are located at Sea Lion Cove, Stingray Bay, Peccary Habitat, & Longvek Marketplace. 💧
📣 UPDATE: Sarge has been found! Thank you to everyone who helped in the search for Sarge! Calling Zoo Community!
We need your help! Sarge, one of our free-flying ambassador birds, flew off course and veered outside Roeding Park on Monday, 6/22. Our teams have been diligently searching for her over the past 24 hours within the park and surrounding areas, but we are now calling for the community’s help to bring Sarge back home safely.
Sarge is about 12in. long & has one toenail on each foot. Macaws are often found high in trees and make loud, high-pitched squawks.
If you see or hear her, please do not approach; call the Zoo’s 24/7 hotline immediately: (559) 286-7403
Make your summer a WILD one with our new summer membership! For just $89, enjoy unlimited admission from 6/7/26 - 8/7/26 during regular Zoo hours for two named adults and two children! Sign up now at our link in bio!
