Due to tree maintenance, Tembo Trail passed Lion Bridge will be closed September 15-16. We may be able to complete the work early and get animals out onto habitats. Thank you for understanding as we keep the area safe for guests, staff, and animals.

At Fresno Chaffee Zoo, we aim to inspire care for animals, create meaningful connections, build community and save wildlife. This blog is a new way for us to invite you behind-the-scenes to meet the people, hear the stories, and witness the impact of our mission in action, both here in Fresno and around the world.
science saturday
During this once-a-month program, participants will engage in zoo science and learn about conservation action through hands-on activities led by Zoo Educators. This program is designed for students ages 5-9 and their grownups. Each program has a unique theme and lesson making every experience a new one!
Roo & You
Hop on over to the Zoo for this fun, grownup-and-me family program. Roo and You is a great way to learn, play and grow together with your youngest animal buffs!

Behind-the-Scenes adventures take guests one step closer to the animals at Fresno Chaffee Zoo, giving guests a special, unforgettable experience!

Our spooktacular Halloween event, #ZooBoo, is BACK and tickets are now on sale!
While we are excited to ring in the spooky season with this annual event, it will look a little different this year. Over the summer, we experienced a tremendous loss when a fire destroyed our entire events warehouse, including all of our Halloween decor.
Our teams have worked tirelessly to reimagine this event. We are very appreciative of our community for showing up for us offering to donate decorations. At this time, we can`t accept your items, but we encourage you all to support us by purchasing a ticket to this event so that we can keep the Halloween spirit alive! 🎃
