Family Overnight
Calling all paleontologists in training, we are hosting a Dino-Mite Family Overnight at the Fresno Chaffee Zoo. Families will learn about the prehistoric animals that once roamed the central valley, embark on nighttime footprint hunt, and search for real fossils.
Roo & You
Hop on over to the Zoo for this fun, grownup-and-me family program. Roo and You is a great way to learn, play and grow together with your youngest animal buffs!

Male kudu have the largest horns of any antelope species. Their horns spiral because they do not grow at a constant rate. Instead, they experience periods of thinner, more rapid growth, and periods of thicker, slower growth.
Is it an anteater? A panda? An elephant? Nope, it`s our unique Malayan tapir! Surprise but they`re closer relatives to horses & rhinos! #WildlifeFacts 🦏🐴
Why the long face? The Sunda gharial`s long snout is actually a natural adaptation that helps them efficiently catch fish. The narrowness allows their bites to cut through water with less resistance.
