The Education team is offering one-day camp programming! Single Day Camp now enables your camper to enjoy all the fun of Zoo Camp, packed into one unforgettable day. Single Day Camp is designed around local school holidays to ensure that your camper has access to memorable learning experiences outside of the classroom.

Spring Zoo Camp
Camp questers unite! It is time for a Spring Safari at the Fresno Chaffee Zoo! Come take a different journey every day around our global exhibits where you will explore dozens of your favorite animal species. Games and crafts in our beautiful education grove and cozy classrooms will round out five unforgettable days. See you this spring!

Summer Camp Themes
Golden State Greats (week 1 and 7)
California has some of the most beautiful and unique ecosystems in the world. Campers will learn all about the diverse animals that are native to California. During this five-day camp, your camper will enjoy daily zoo tours, animal visits, crafts and games.
Herp, Herp, Hooray! (week 2, 4, and 6)
What do lizards, snakes and frogs have in common? They are all herptiles. Campers will learn about how this group of remarkable animals play an essential role in our ecosystems. During this five-day camp, your camper will enjoy daily zoo tours, animal visits, crafts and games.
Zoovivor (week 3, 5, and 8)
Campers will learn how animals outwit, outplay and outlast others to survive in their habitats. Campers will have a blast playing games and activities to learn about animal survival skills. During this five-day camp, your camper will enjoy daily zoo tours, animal visits, crafts and games.

Summer Jr. Zoologist Camp Themes
Ocean Commotion (week 1)
Did you know the ocean provides roughly half of the oxygen for the planet? This week campers will dive into the diverse ocean biome and marvel at the plants and animals and make waves with solutions to the oceans’ current conservation issues.
Rainforest Rundown (week 2)
Did you know that over half of rainforest species live in the trees? Campers will explore the amazing adaptations of the flora and fauna that call this biodiverse biome home, while learning how to save the rainforest, our source for chocolate and coffee!
Desert Days (week 3)
During the Desert Days campers will learn hot takes on what makes deserts so cool, dig into the adaptations of the plants and animals that call the desert home, and discover the importance of the growing biome that makes up 1/5th of the planet’s land.

Art Academy
Embark on a wild artistic adventure at our Zoo Art Academy, where young creators will unleash their imagination and creativity while drawing inspiration from the captivating animals that call our zoo home!
Throughout the camp, campers will explore various art mediums, including drawing, in pencil and ink, oil pastels, watercolor, and more, to bring their favorite zoo animals to life on canvas, parchment, and clay.
