Toss The Tusk – September 11th-12th
Join Fresno Chaffee Zoo, in partnership with California Department of Fish and Wildlife, to Toss the Tusk! On September 11th and 12th, you can surrender your animal products at the Zoo with no questions asked. These products could include ivory jewelry, leather or fur skins, or any decorative animal pieces. Also on the 12th, enjoy educational chats around the Zoo, information on the illegal ivory trade, and a screening of a video that tells the story of Assembly Bill 96, which 10 years ago banned the sale of ivory and rhino horn in California. There is no Zoo admission required for the community to surrender their animal products. City parking fees still apply. The rest of the festivities will take place inside the Zoo and are included with any general admission ticket redeemed on the day of the event.

Rainbow Family Day – October 11th
A celebration of community and belonging at Fresno Chaffee Zoo in honor of National Coming Out Day. This joyful event uplifts and affirms LGBTQIA+ families while reflecting the vibrant diversity and beauty of Californiaâs Central Valley. Enjoy music, art, educational activities, local food vendors, and community resource booths in a welcoming space for all. This event is included with your admission.

DĂa De Los Muertos – November 1st
Fresno Chaffee Zoo honors those who have come before us while highlighting the rich culture of Californiaâs Central Valley. Experience beautiful ofrendas adorned with marigolds, along with music, dance, educational activities, local food vendors, and community resources for a day of remembrance and connection. This event is included with your admission.

The Zoo is a great location for corporate parties and group events of all kinds. Our Events Department is trained to take you through all the planning stages to ensure that you have a successful and memorable event, whether it is a casual picnic or a black-tie affair.
Each event has the option of full-service catering, formal or casual setup, and optional Wild Activities including Stingray Bay, Winged Wonders Bird Show, and giraffe feeding.

Includes food to feed a party of 25 people. Add-ons to your order are always welcome! No outside food or drinks besides commercially prepared dessert is permitted into the venue.
